2.5 Select articles and save results

Once you enter search terms and click Search or press the Enter key, PubMed will retrieve and display the results.

1. The retrieved citations are displayed in the Summary format. This includes the author, title, and source information.
2. Results are displayed in batches of 20.
3. Filters create subsets of your results: Citations that have been assigned the Publication Type, i.e., Review.
4. Citations with free full text online will appear in the Filter section by default.
5. Modify or create your own Filters in My NCBI is possible by clicking Manage Filters.
