The safety of antileishmania drugs during pregnancy is not proven. It is recommended to use the safest available drug. Liposomal amphotericin B is the choice of option. Conventional amphotericin is associated with nephrotoxicity. The use of antimonials should be avoided as much as possible especially in the first trimester of pregnancy. The dosage and duration of treatment is similar to other group of patients.
